Hey guys,

Jim and Ken have launched a senior spotlight initiative that began with FFA kids over the past two weeks. The plan was to begin sports spotlights throughout the day the first week of May; however, with WISD thinking it might be possible to have a graduation the first week of June, we had to move up the program.

Today (Monday), I worked with coach Riley to get three Waxahachie boys’ soccer members on in the afternoon. The plan is to give SPRING student-athletes, preferably seniors, an opportunity to hop on air and talk with the on-air host for 2-3 minutes. It’s a “salute to seniors” kind of thing.

All we need is the attached form sent over by the respective coaches with the student-athletes’ name filled in so that I can give those to the on-air hosts.

The student-athlete will need to call 972-923-1390 (then choose Option 1) 2-3 minutes before his or her scheduled time. If the coaches have head shots readily available, I can put together a graphic to promote the student-athletes being on-air the day prior. Not a huge deal if they do not, though.
